Project Description:
This is a part-time/consulting opportunity for 3-6 months that may lead to a permanent part-time or full-time position position for a rapidly growing, multiple surgeon practice with over $750,000 in annual reimbursable billings per surgeon.
Responsibilities
? Audit, review and occasionally code plastic and reconstructive surgery cases
o Must intimately know codes for this specialty
o Neurosurgery, OB/GYN, and Urology experience are also pluses as this medical practice shares office space with other specialty medical practioners
? 20 to 40 hours per month
o Part time or consultant, may lead to fulltime position for a rapidly growing, multiple surgeon practice with over $750,000 in annual reimbursable billings per surgeon
o Flexible location and hours as this can be a home based position other than regular meetings with surgeon, manager and billing staff to review results/findings at prestigious Beverly Hills office
? Interact with surgeon and manager on in a management consulting role
o Advise on management and hiring of in house staff
o Compensation for billing staff members
? Interact with billing staff in a mentorship/advisory role
o Coding
o Appeals
o Software billing programs
Requirements
? 5 year minimum experience in plastic and reconstructive surgery
? Master coder certification
? Bachelor degree preferred. Advance degree and/or additional certifications are pluses.
? Multiple references required.
Compensation
