If a patient comes to the ED and they have recently had surgery but they are presenting for a problem unrelated to the surgery would bill the appropriate E/M and 99024?
 
No 99024 is only for post op zero pay visits. If its unrelated there should be no 99024. It will be E&M w/ mod 24 to show unrelated.
