What are some of the clinics doing as far as charges for mid levels and MD? Do you charge the same for a PA-C as you would for MD? This is for an internal medicine clinic.
Thanks,

We bill exactly the same for all levels; the difference for us is with the adjustments we take based on contractual allowances given by the payers. So physicians, APRNs and PAs would all bill $150.00 for a 99214 (for example), but the payments are different by provider as well as the corresponding adjustments we take.

We to bill exactly the same for our MD's and Mid-Levels. The adjustements will fluctuate based on if we are billing our NP's incident too or if we are billing them under their own NPI.

when billing incident too, all requirments must be met prior too and reimbursement is 100% of the allowable.

when billing under the Mid-Level ( ARNP for us) allowable is 85%
