My MAC is Novitas Solutions. My question is under Number of diagnoses or treatment options.
New problem; additional workup planned 4 points. If the physician orders bloodwork the same day of service, does it count as additional workup? Novitas stated workup to be anything above and beyond the date of service. I'm looking for documentation to substantiate this.
