I would like to clarify something. We are a Urology practice and pt's will come in with multiple urinary problems/dx's. For the MDM box A, does each of the dx get a point? I've been told yes and no. No because it's the same body area.

For the MDM, you count each dx as 1 point, regardless of body area. The body area / organ system come into play when you're looking for the history or the exam.
 
Keep in mind though that if you have a definitive diagnosis, you shouldn't count each sign/symptom as an additional diagnosis. Those are sort of 'bundled' into the definitive diagnosis.
