Good Afternoon! we just got a denial from Medicaid in reference to 33979-PR INSERT VENT ASST DEV,IMPLANT,SINGLE VENT as not listed into the fee schedule. Does anybody knows how we can bill this? I tried to get a compatible code but could not find any.
Any feedback?

depends on Medicaid for which state..

I know CA runs approx. two years behind on updating their FS. I would suggest going to the web site for the Medicaid and checking their current code list.

Most likely it is going to be unlisted due to the fact the VAD codes are relatively new.
