Wiki Medicaid denying claims with FS modifier...

I work specifically with MS Medicaid. They deny payment for all claims billed with the FS modifier. I have to remove the modifier and resubmit the claims, which are then paid. Are other state Medicaid plans doing this? I have contacted my rep as well as DOM and can't get an answer re: the denials.

Having the same issue with Medicaid and Medicaid Managed Care payors. Any help or guidance would be great.

Our state Medicaid hates modifiers. We review their benefit policy manual to see if the modifier is required and if not, we leave it off.
