Wiki Medicaid Observation coding

Medicaid will pay for initial observation and discharge observation. I was told before if pt was in for 3 days obs you can bill the middle day as an office visit in an outpatient location. Curious if anyone else has come across this. CPT book reads on office visits - Office or other outpatient visit. Observation would be outpatient.
