Does anyone know the correct way to bill medicaid for a preventive visit for someone over the age of 18?
Is there a crosswalk code from a preventive to an E&M?
If anyone could point me in the right direction as to where I could get the information on this, I would greatly appreciate it.

You can only code what was done. Preventive visits are actually E/M codes catagorically, but they do not translate into problem-oriented visits 99201-99215. It all depends on the documentation, no issues and just preventive...unfortunately that may be an uncovered service for some.
