Salary Range: $65,000 to 95,000
Billing Compliance Auditor
Under general supervision, the Billing Compliance Auditor participates in the development and implementation of a compliance program that conforms to the guidelines established by the Office of the Inspector general (OIG). Develops and implements necessary policies, procedures and standards of conduct. Conducts audits and system reviews. Serves as project leader and consultant to assigned areas and departments. Ensures that documents related to the Billing Compliance Program are maintained, retained and destroyed in a consistent manner and allows access to necessary documentation to support actions taken under the Billing Compliance Program.
Education:
? Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
? Certification in medical coding a must (CCS, RHIT, RHIA, AHIMA, or AAPC)
? At least 5-7 years coding and compliance experience.
? Thorough knowledge of medical terminology.
? Highly organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented and energetic team player.
? Ability to conduct statistical analyses and determine potentially problematic variations.
? Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience presenting to groups.
? Must be detail oriented.
? Strong computer skills including MSOffice, Internet, and E-mail.
? Excellent problem solving ability and good interpersonal skills
