AWAC is a rapidly growing medical management firm located in Augusta, Georgia, working on behalf of health plans and employers around the nation. AWAC employs a dedicated team of physicians, nurses and other team members to help reduce healthcare costs and improve patient outcomes. We seek bright and energetic service oriented individuals to join our team as Medical Claims Analysts.
This position analyzes medical insurance claims for coding and billing accuracy to ensure claims are processed appropriately. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service, analytical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Experience reading and interpreting medical claims, and supporting documentation and coding protocols a plus. Must be familiar with ICD-9, CPT, and HCPCS codes. CPC required. Two years or more college education preferred. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Knowledge in Oncology, Pain management, and/or Anesthesia a plus.
