Does anyone know if there is a Medical Coder week? I hear next week is Nurses week....which our hospital LOVES to recognize. I would like to know if there is a Medical Coding week so I can try and get the hospital to recognize us too.

Not that I'm aware of...at least, not in my area. We are recognized (CPC's) during Administrative week.

I work for a hospital and we are reconized with Health Information Technology week. For 2009 it will be November 1 - November 7th. Here is a link that may be helpful:
