Hello! Does anyone know how medical direction is applied and billed for OB cases since it's different from the normal OR cases? For example, does the anesthesiologist need to be present for the placement/removal of the epidural catheter (most critical portions of the "procedure"?)? Does the modifier QK descriptor of "procedures" include OB (labor epidurals) cases? Any information is much appreciated. Thank you.
