Can a physician bill for medical nutrition therapy under codes 97802. 97803 & 97804? or does it have to be a dietary specialist? :confused:

Also, does anyone have any experience billing for a physician doing group nutritional therapy?

Nutrition Therapy

This service is provided by a licensed registered dietitian. Medicare coverage requires RD to have UPIN #.
