Hello

If someone can advise me, A new pt (pregnant) was seen for pulmonary embolus, she has medical only (insurance) for pregnancy and related medical svcs, Dr is Hem/Onc. we bill medical with ICD-9 673.20; 785.6; and 626.0
for a 99205. RAD code 169 : svcs not payable when billed with this diagnosis.

If the patient is pregnant then your fifth digit for the 673 code is 3 for antepartum not unspecified, and you will not use the 626.0 at all since the absence of periods is a part of pregnancy. And I am not sure what the 785.6 code is for since there was no enlargement of lymph node mentioned. With no additional info the only correct dx code for what you have stated is the 673.23.
