It is my understanding that Medicare covers 1 STI screening per year. We are getting a kickback from our lab for Chlamydia/GC Amplification Dx code Z11.3 and I was wondering if there is another code that we should be using for these.
 
It is my understanding that Medicare covers 1 STI screening per year. We are getting a kickback from our lab for Chlamydia/GC Amplification Dx code Z11.3 and I was wondering if there is another code that we should be using for these.

The benefit is:
  • 1 screening per year for chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis in women at increased risk but not pregnant
