I have a doctor that does not provide annual wellness visits. Does anyone know if as a Medicare provider, it is mandatory that he provide this service?

The office points out to the patient that AWV is a preventive wellness visit and is not a “routine physical checkup” and Medicare does not provide coverage for routine physical examinations.

Found answer to my own question...It is not manditory for a physician to provide medicare AWV's, just suggested and encouraged.
