Hi, should this code be billed with anatomical modifier or modifiers at all? Thanks!
 
It is difficult to answer, are you sure that the code is being denied for laterality modifiers? What were the rest of the codes billed? Does the ICD-10 laterality match the CPT modifier (typo error?). 27692 is an each additional add on code. I think even if you did not append a laterality modifier it may go through provided the other coding was correct. Generally, as stated above you can use LT/RT on it. You see these a lot of times when they are doing large foot & ankle cases with multiple other codes like flat foot reconstructions, with calcaneal osteotomies, and posterior tibial tendon work, etc.
