I am billing for a new doctor, private practice in Oregon. I am not familiar with Medicare/Noridian. On the medicare EOB it says pt resp and under that it says claim information forwarded to: "insurance co".

Does this mean that they sent a copy to the supplemental insurance company and they will pick up the patients balance? :confused::confused:

I tried to call Noridian but they were in some kind of meeting and were not available.
 
This is what is called a crossover claim. If the 2ns ins doesnt cover all of the . Mcr coins then you bill the pt the difference.
