I know I need to have an ABN and carve out portions of the E/M for Medicare patients. I also know that the Medicare ABN is used for Medicare patients only.
Do I need to have the patients that have Medicare Advantage plans sign their insurance company's ABN and do I need to carve out the breast, pelvic exam and pap collection for the Advantage companies, or are these yearly exams covered under the Advantage companies.

When I call these companies, it seems they do not know.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

We always use the ABNs for the Medicare Advantage plans, just as we do for Medicare.
