I am new to Medicare/Medicaid billing and would like to get some advice from an experienced billing person who is familiar with the set up process for this type of provider. I have a few questions specific to substance abuse treatment on a PHP/IOP level, the provider has 2 NPI numbers, one that was used to acquire Medicare/Medicaid ID's and one has been acquired for substance abuse taxonomy code 324500000X for commercial carriers?, (questions about that) as far as my billing software and setting up organization in the system.
