Our office is having some trouble with Medicare/Medicaid patient's. Most are in a nursing home. The situation is the patient has a billable service which Medicare applies to deductible and then Medicaid doesn't pay either. Medicaid is stating we cannot bill the patient. Is anyone else having this problem? Can you bill the patient for the deductible?
