Can anyone please tell me where I can find data on national coding averages per CPT per specialty? I am looking to compare what (or the frequency of what) our physicians are coding with what other physicians in the same specialty are coding nationally. I can find tools and charts that compare E and M utilization but I can't find tools and charts that compare CPT utilization for the other codes. The Medicare Physician Public Use Files (PUF) are overwhelming. I need to pull charts for audits and I want to start with the physician groups that have unusual utilization patterns. I just don't know how to quantify that. Please help if you can. Thanks!
