I was just wondering if anyone is experiencing Medicare Rejections on vaccination codes, especially administration code 90471. The rejection explanation says rejected due to value being 0, but when we look at our claims the dollar amount is in there? Just curious to see if anyone is experienceing anything similar, thank you. Dana
 
Rejections

It depends what types of vaccines you are billing if the vaccine is not a covered vaccine then the admin will not be covered. Also the vaccines that are covered would have admin codes that begin with a G. For example the admin code for Flu shot is G0008 and for Pneumonia is G0009. I would check the payer website for the codes that are covered.
