Does anyone know what the Medicare retention guidelines are for keeping Medicare Part B EOB's? And do you have to keep documentation of shreading and when it was done?

Check your state laws

Documentation retention requirements for many forms of documenation, including medical records (any format) and financial records, which would include these EOBs and RA's, are determined by state law. There is no federal retention requirement. However, they do recommend to retain them at least six years unless state law requires a longer time.
