Hi!

Does any one know what it's the revenue code for a B-12 injection or where can find it?

I will really appreciate any one input.

Medicare stopped paying for B-12, it is considered a self-injectable. Refer to the LCD on the Medicare website.

They will pay for it if the patient is getting Chemotherapy becuase it is included as part of the drug protocol to prevent B-12 deficiency.

Careful documentation in other circumstances, such as if the patient has bilateral amputations or arthritis impairing there ability to prohibit seld-injections will help support reimbursement from Medicare on occasion.
