Is there a CPT code for medication injections for MO Medicaid? MO Medicaid does not pay for 96372. I work in a Psychiatric clinic and some patients receive medication injections. (vs taking oral pills) Our nurse administers injections with a standing order from Physician, but Physician isn't always in office at time of injections and it is not part of an E/M visit. This is a planned/scheduled injection. And whose NPI would I bill under?

Also, I am interested in contact from anyone who does Psych coding and billing.

in a physician clinic/office setting the must be a provider in the office for a nurse or MA to be administering medications. If you hve no provider in the office there is no NPI you can use, injections must be directly supervised when administered in an office setting which means a provider must be present.
