We are billing PLPC to Cigna and Aetna with a clinical supervisor NPI on the claim, the clinical supervisor is not the same PLPC State Supervisor however our billing department has stopped all billing claims for our PLPCs to Cigna and Aetna claims as they are stating that we must have the state supervisor signature on the claim. Has anyone had any issues having 2 supervisor signatures on the note, the state supervisor is not credentialed under our group they are only over seeing the PLPC clinical mandatory hours for their full license. Can we bill with just our clinical supervisor signature on the note.
