Hello My name is Sherita Yancey and I am in the need of a mentor. I recently completed a seven month Medical Billing and Coding course. I have taken the CPC examination once without success. After having taking the exam I am very discouraged because I can truly say that over half of the things on the exam was completely unfamiliar to me and several of my classmates have said the same. I do have a free re-take I'm just at a complete lost as to what it is I am suppose to study and/or practice that I don't feel confident that I will pass; therefore, I have yet to schedule the re-take.
I was wondering if there is anyone in the Norfolk/Virginia Beach, VA area who has their CPC certification that would be willing to mentor a wife and mother trying to re-take and pass the CPC examination before March 2013 and return to the workforce on a part time basis.
