If anyone could help I would really appreciate it.

Patient had mass removed from his rib. The final dx is metastatic adenocarcinoma from the colon.

Would I use the primary carcinoma from the colon as the primary dx and the secondary carcinoma from the rib as the additional dx?

Thanks.

Diagnosis Coding

You would first code the metastaic rib mass with the secondary code 198.5 and then with hx of colon if it is not a current cancer( pt. still undergoing treatment for the colon ca) Hx of colon is V10.05 are current ca for colon is 153.9
