Patient had a history of right radical neck dissection for a squamous cell carcinoma with
unknow primary.
Patient had an excisional biopsy of right upper abdominal wall soft tissue. Path report came back as metastatic suuamous cell carcinoma- . Can I code 171.5 as my dx?
 
Is the squamous cell carcinoma excised from the right upper abdominal wall a metastasis from either the prior squamous cell carcinoma on the neck or its suspected unknown primary? If so, wouldn't you code from the Malignant, Secondary column of the Neoplasm table, 198.2 ?
