Hello, my provider is introducing a new technique to a patient that has a long term nonhealing wound. He is using a micro needling technique to stimulate healing to the area. We are a PCP office so I was hoping that maybe someone that is in Dermatology might have some guidance as to what CPT code I may be able to use to send to the payer. The closest I have found is dermaplaning and it does not accurately describe the procedure. The micro needling is done around the outside of the wound to stimulate healing. Any help appreciated as I don't want to have to use an unlisted code.
