I'm probably overthinking this, but if the midwife goes to the patient's home on 5/1 and bills 99347 plus legitimate prolonged codes for this DOS and she's still there on 5/2 tending to the patient, how do I bill that second day (and no the delivery was not performed by her due to complications and baby was deilvered via c-section)? I doesn't feel right to bill another 99347 on 5/2, but I don't know how else she will get paid for her prolonged codes for this date. Would I bill 99347 and appropriate prolonged codes with a 5/1-5/2 to/from date? Thank you for your help.:confused:
