Does anyone know the difference between 63020 and 63040? The only difference I can see is the 63040 specifies "reexploration" - so does that mean they came and had the 63020 done previously and now have to come back to have the same levels done again?

The problem I'm having is that 63043 and 63044 (which are add on codes) are IP only procedures per CMS and I'm getting denied. I'm wondering if they should have been coded as 63030, 63035.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
