Hello,

I was wondering if someone could confirm if minimally invasive osteotomy technique for any of the metatarsals (DMMO) or phalanx is reported as unlisted or with the appropriate listed osteotomy code. There are no bunions involved. Referring to CPT range 28306-28312.

Below is an example of the current case I'm working on, but "small nick and spread incision" verbiage is used when doing metatarsal osteotomies as well.

"I then made a small nick and spread incision in the lateral aspect of the proximal phalanx. Using a bur, I made a controlled osteotomy. I then manually manipulated the osteotomy until the toe was straight. At this point the toe was reduced. I performed toe strapping to neutral and a shoe was applied."

Thank you
