Wiki Mirena brought from office to hospital

Patient came to hospital for D&C and our provider placed IUD at the same time. He brought the Mirena from the office. Can we bill for the Mirena and if so, how?

Correct, insurance companies will not reimburse a physician for a drug that was given to a patient while they were in a facility. The facility's pharmacy should be providing this and the physician should make arrangements with the facility to have it available if it is going to be needed for the patient during the procedure.
