Looking for CPT to use for Mitral valve debridement...
Operative report says. Atrium was opened . There was fibrinous exudate seen on mitral valve that was sent for culture. There was eroded area at base of mitral valve that could not be taken but for the most part everything was debrided...

To me not quite a valveuloplasty 33425.. should i use unlisted?

Any help is appreciated

Yes I would use unlisted. There is no code that specifically meets the debridement of a valve. We have billed 33999 for this service. Hope that helps.
