Just released July 3, 2014? Can someone please explain to me what is meant on p. 2 when it says MCR is converting most MUE's into "per day edits?"
Also it states (p. 2) effective with the July 1 2014 update, published per day edits are identified on the CMS NCCI website. I went there as linked by the MLN article and found the code I was looking for. It shows 76942 as 1 for MUE, and 3 for the day edits. Ok, I understand the 1 for the MUE, but if we're only allowed to use it once per day per service, why the "3?" I am totally confused on this.
If any of you get a chance to update yourself regarding this matter, can you please share with me what this actually means?
