The doctor was performing a bilateral transforaminal injection, just prior to starting the contralateral side the procedure had to be discontinued. How would this be coded so that we at least get paid for the one side. BCBS is the carrier.

64483 - 50, 53 If I code it like this would that indicate the procedure was aborted prior to either side being completed?

Or should I code it like this?
