I am starting to get denials (they are not paying) from BC of ALA, stating the moderate sedation codes 99152 is not a medical code and is not covered when submitted with a routine diagnosis which is Z1211 for colonoscopy. Also Humana Gold is starting to do the same thing....

Have anyone can across this issue?

I also look through BC of ALA policy and the diagnosis Z1211 is listed, stating to submit with 99152/G0500..... CONFUSED which I don't understand why BC is not paying....:confused:

Any Helpful Information?
