I've just been introduced to modifier TH- and am wondering if using modifier TH helps to get the E/M office visits paid when we did not see an OB patient enough to bill OB global. We would bill E/M office visits when the patient transfers out with 3 or less visits and/or miscarries before 3 or more, etc. basically doesn't meet the qualification to bill OB global charges. Does TH modifier help get the claims paid without having to make a phone call and/or providing medical records? What's your experience using TH modifier?
