I need some clarification! I have two different doctor's offices, one that bills e/m visits with UA's (81002), and the other bills e/m visits with a venipuncture (36415) and cbc (85025) and add a modifier 25. I've had two different auditors tell me different things. One auditor states that you cannot do this as they are both have status a indicator, the other stating that as long as it is documented in the office note it is acceptable. Does anyone know anything for sure? Thank you!!
