Should we add modifier 26 to guidence radialogy codes?
 
If I understand your question correctly, you are asking if you should add -26 to codes such as 76998 ultrasonic guidance, intraoperative.
When the codes are performed in a hospital or location where you do not own the equipment, the answer would be yes. The hospital/facility would be billing 76998-TC and the physician would bill 76998-26.
If the scenario is the radiology guidance is billed in a POS 11, then -26 would not be appropriate since you are billing for the technical and professional component.
