Hi. I was wondering if anyone could tell me a bit of info on Modifier 33... I was reading the article on it in the Coding Edge and I'm a little confused.
Do you or would you append it to a 99391-99392 E/M for a child's well visit when they receive immunizations?
If so, would that mean that they copay for that visit is waived? i'm just not sure if I'm understanding its usage.

I wish I could answer your question, but can't and glad you submitted this question. It was an interesting article, yet it engendered more questions and must admit I was a little confused concerning the well visits and the waiver of the copays. Wonder how many are successfully using it in combination with the well visits and vaccines?
