Can anyone please help me in this.

Can we append 51 asd 59 modifier for a cpt procedure.If yes please give me any examples.

Yes, we can. For example, if we have three codes. Code A is of highest value and is coded first. Code B is a totally different procedure and should be reported with mod 51. Code C is different procedure and needs to be coded but can be only with mod 59 as per CCI edit. Now Code C is coded with both mod 51 and 59. HTH.

I thought you could not use 51 and 59 together. 51 if for multiple procedures and 59 is for seperate distant procedure--therefore showing a multiple procedure. But I may be mistaken.:)
