Okay, for an internal medicine office the common modifiers we use are -25 & -59, sometimes -76. Today I was entering charges and a patient who came in on Friday was in for a physical and a couple other issues too... which is where my question comes in but I will provide the example below of what was filled out & coded on the encounter form, all done by the same physician within the one visit...

Example:

physical 99396, add -25
ekg 93000
cerumen removal 69210, add -59
pft 94010 ??? modifier on the pft ???
blood glucose 82962

my question is, should we add the modifier -51 to the PFT (as multiple procedures by the same physician) or is there a different modifier that anyone thinks may work.. I mean we are getting paid for the PFT but just asking? any opinions, let me know?

Thanks!
