Wiki Modifier 62

Procedure done by Primary as well as Secondary surgeon. Can i append the modifier 62 for only Secondary surgeon or for both the provider?

It would depend on the surgery performed.

If they each performed parts of one surgical service you would use the -62 to show that this procedure was performed by two surgeons working together.

If they each are different specialites and they perform separate surgeries during the same session (off the top of my head, say one performed a hysterectomy and one performed a small bowel resection) then they would each bill for their surgery without modifiers.
