Hello, I have a question about modifier 76. Can it be used if the same provider on the same day provided the same services twice, such as therapy services?

I would not use that for therapy.

Modifier 76 is for a repeat of the exact same service. (For example, an ECG)

I might consider using XE in that situation. XE is for separate encounter on the same DOS.

Edit to add: This is assuming that the therapy service that you're billing needs a modifier to override an NCCI/MUE edit to report twice in the same day. I didn't have a CPT code to verify.
