Wiki modifier 77 - need claification

If multiple Dr's are doing chest x-rays in the hospital, can we charge this with modifier 77 to meicare? Everything I run across says we can but there is some confusion as to the way medicare sees it. Aparently we think medicare see it as: even though they are different Dr's they would still be considered the same group. Is this correct? We need claification. Please help.:confused:
 
If one Dr reads a chest xray and then another on reads a separate xray then yes it is appropriate to add a 77 modifier to the CPT from the second Dr.
