I code for Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeons.

My question is when my providers are in 90 day global for a CABG

After the surgery the pt is roomed in the ICU for treatment and care.

If one of our PA's put in an Arterial Line for medication due to increase blood pressure due to the operation. Can you charge for the arterial line?

I have always done a zero charge for global? Has the modifier changed in the guidelines that we are able to add the modifier 78? billing in the ICU.
